Beta privacy notice
Draft pending review · 3 October 2026. This notice describes the current beta. Provider arrangements, retention procedures and the final policy still require review before wider release. Contact us before entering sensitive information if you have questions.
Contact
The Life Compass is developed by Adam Blanch. For privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests, contact inquiry@good-psychology.com or use account support. Please do not email passwords, security codes or private exercise answers.
Information you choose to enter
Account information includes your email, preferred name, timezone and authentication settings. Depending on the features you use, saved information can include check-ins, reflections, identity assessments, course progress, goals, calendar entries, budget figures, exercise sessions, habits, food diaries and meal plans. Some of this may reveal sensitive wellbeing or health information. You can leave optional reflection fields empty and avoid identifying other people.
Why information is used
Information supports sign-in, saving and restoring your work, displaying your progress, responding to support requests and protecting accounts. Technical service logs may contain request, error and connection information. Private entries are not public posts. Staff account-management screens do not provide general access to your reflections; authorised technical operators may need access for support or security operations.
Your information is not shared for advertising
Your check-ins, reflections, assessments and plans are private to your account. We do not share them with other users, sell personal information, or use private entries for advertising. Necessary service providers process information to operate Compass and deliver emails. Authorised technical access may be needed for support or security, and information may be disclosed where legally required. This is not a promise that providers never process information or that staff can never access it.
Health trackers and food searches
Health tracking records and preferences are private to your account. Calorie totals are optional and off by default. If you save a calorie plan, your age, height, weight, measurement date, equation choice, activity and weight goal are saved privately with your target. Suitability answers and medical reasons for skipping the calculator are not saved. Smart-scale readings are typed in manually; no device is connected. These calculations run in Compass without sending body measurements to a food database or AI service. You can remove the calculator details and target from the meal planner, and include them in your Health export. Food searches send the entered food name or barcode through our server to Open Food Facts or, when configured, USDA FoodData Central. We do not send your account identity, health history or food diary to those databases. Search requests may appear in provider technical logs. Food nutrition values are estimates and can be incomplete; users can correct entries from package labels.
Optional reminder emails
Daily check-in and check-out reminders are separate opt-in choices, off by default. We store your choices, reminder times, timezone and consent time. Our delivery service receives your email address and generic reminder content, not your check-ins or reflections. Every reminder offers unsubscribe without signing in. You can also change or stop reminders in My Stuff → Account → Email reminders. Stopping reminders does not stop essential account and security emails. Delivery records contain a reminder type, date and status to prevent duplicates; they are automatically removed after 30 days.
Account storage and this device
Saved account records are held through Supabase. The website runs on Vercel. The current database is hosted in Singapore and application processing includes the United States; this is not an Australia-only service. Provider support and subprocessors may involve other locations. Unfinished tool drafts and some preferences may remain in this browser. Clearing browser storage may remove those drafts. Sign-in cookies are used to maintain your session.
Email, audio and optional services
Account emails are delivered through our email provider. Administrator tools can send explicitly entered content prompts to OpenAI to help prepare course or listing material; these tools do not automatically read your private reflections. Browser narration can depend on your device or browser speech service and should not be assumed to work entirely offline. Membership payment is not part of this free beta. Any separately enabled store or event checkout uses Stripe, which handles payment details.
Access, correction and deletion
You can edit records where the app provides editing controls. Contact support to request a copy, correction or deletion of other account information. These requests currently require manual handling and identity verification; sending a request does not itself delete an account. Backups may retain copies after removal from the live service. The proposed backup-deletion limit is 30 days, but its operation has not yet been verified and is not a guaranteed deletion deadline.
Questions and complaints
Send privacy concerns to the contact above. We will review the issue and respond using your account or contact email. If it remains unresolved, you can seek guidance from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. This draft does not claim certification or guarantee that security incidents cannot occur.
